Dr. Pavel Stodůlka, recently represented Gemini at two prestigious events: the World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC) in Vancouver and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) Congress in Barcelona. At both congresses, he shared Gemini Clinic’s latest innovations and groundbreaking achievements.
At the WOC in Vancouver, Dr. Stodůlka chaired seven sessions and organized the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery (AECOS) symposium. He also delivered six lectures, including a significant presentation marking the 75th anniversary of the first intraocular lens implantation.
One of the key highlights of his presentations was a lecture on a new method of modifying intraocular lenses using a laser inside the eye. Currently in clinical trials for selected patients, this technology allows the lens to be adjusted after implantation to optimize vision correction or remove residual dioptres. This breakthrough is the result of collaboration between doctors, developers, and technicians, all working to advance the field of eye surgery.
Several doctors from the Gemini Clinic also participated in the ESCRS Congress in Barcelona. Dr. Stodůlka once again presented new innovations in intraocular lens fitting and shared his experiences with the implantation of artificial lenses. During the innovation session, he also discussed the production and development of Pollux Nova intraocular lenses.
