On February 10th – 12th, 2017,thousands of eye specialists from all over the world visited the historic city of Maastricht in the Netherlands. The experts were joined also by doctors from Gemini Eye Clinic, namely Dr. Pavel Stodůlka, Dr. Martina Šajdíková, and Dr. Andrea Nováková. Head surgeon Stodůlka lectured among others also on the correction of astigmatism with the use of a laser platform as well as without it. The ESCRS society, just as Gemini Eye Clinic, educates young ophthalmologists and offers special programs for young eye doctors. Dr. Nováková attended such a program. Dr. Šajdíková has been an ESCRS Publications Committee as well as an ESCRS Young Ophthalmologists Committee. The committee meets regularly during ESCRS conferences.
