The Gemini Clinic ranked among the few eye care facilities in the world to use the method called ReLEx Smile for the removal of farsightedness. The number of patients to be operated on by the gentle flapfree method has been rising significanlty. The Gemini surgeons have operated on the largest number of such patients in Europe.
The ReLEx Smile method has been in use of the Gemini ophthalmologists since July 2014 when they started operating on patients with myopia; the procedure for the removal of hypermetropia was not possible to perform until last Autumn. The first ReLEx Smile surgery was carried out by the chief eye surgeon Dr. Stodůlka. We consider it a significant honour that the Zeiss company (the manufacturer of the laser platform) have chosen the Gemini Eye Clinic to conduct a study of the new surgical method outcomes.
