The congress brought ophthalmologists the latest updates in ophthalmology along with an attractive program. The Czech ophthalmology was represented by the head of the Gemini Eye Clinic network, as well as the President of the European section of AECOS, Pavel Stodůlka, who delivered two interesting lectures.
Pavel Stodůlka has been a member of AECOS almost since its inception and has participated in all European congresses. He is one of two members representing the Czech Republic, while Slovakia is represented by one member. This year’s congress was attended by 10 Czech ophthalmologists.
Stodůlka presented a revolutionary and highly effective treatment option for dry eye using intraorbital acupuncture. He also provided the latest information on cataract surgery using the femtomatrix laser.
The annual AECOS Europe Congress in Florence provided ophthalmologists with an opportunity to gain new knowledge and interact with the most prominent figures in European and American ophthalmology. The congress was inspiring, featuring open discussions among eye specialists and representatives of significant companies.
Czech ophthalmology is becoming an increasingly significant player in this field, and participation in such events brings not only professional insights from ophthalmology but also prestige and recognition. It is also exciting that next year, the European AECOS congress will be held in Prague.
